TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Did 1 year of student teaching Multimedia (Beginning Graphic Design). Currently going on 6 years in class teaching. I have taught 2 years of traditional studio art. I am now into my 4th year of teaching Multimedia (Graphic Design).

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is highly based on building relationships in the classroom and focusing on the process for each project from beginning to end. I do my best to keep assignments simple. This allows students to be creative in their own style and work at their own pace. By keeping the structure of the worksheets simple it also allows for the process to connect to each project.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Story writer for the film, "Enrique Wrecks the World," which was nominated for Best animated Short in 2011 Annie Awards. Interned at Lucas Arts in 2011 for 2 weeks.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

After high school I spent 3 years at junior college before transferring to San Jose State University. Graduated in 2011 with a BFA in Animation/Illustration with an emphasis on Storyboarding.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am an avid video game enthusiast. Video games are the foundation of my love for story and art. I participate in local art shows where I showcase my personal work and continue to grow my skills.
