TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 10th year as a teacher having taught all grades 6-12 and all levels from co-taught to honors, AP, and IB. I am currently a 3rd year AP Language and Composition teacher, as well as an American Literature teacher. Additionally, I hold a Master's in Educational Leadership and am a teacher leader in my building, working as a district liaison to Actively Learn and working in close conjunction with our administrative team on a variety of initiatives, including the implementation of the national Portrait of a Graduate program.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Having certifications in both secondary English and Social Studies, my style tends to lean towards cross curricular skills. Technology integration and project based assessments are an important part of my classroom and teaching style. I enjoy allowing my students choice while also providing them with rigorous activities.
