I completed my 7th year of teaching in the 2019-2020 school year. I have taught in a life skills classroom, self-contained behavior unit, and inclusion behavior support. I transitioned to middle school functional academics for the 2019-2020 school year.
I incorporate a mix of structured social skills lessons and unstructured social situational lessons where the lessons occurs as situations happen. I also provide in class support and resource minutes to students depending on their IEP. Small groups are important to the success of the students. I want my students engaged in hands on activities or technology integrated lessons.
