ACAP Text Dependent Writing Resources

I've attended various training sessions, workshops, and conferences throughout Alabama regarding the ACAP Summative Assessment. Based on information gained from the trainings and my own educational experience, I created a series of practice prompts to prepare 4th - 8th grade students for the writing portion of the ACAP Summative Assessment.

I have 8 years of secondary classroom teaching experience. I believe all students deserve to learn in a challenging educational environment that provokes them to think deeply, reflect often, and formulate original ideas. I tend to focus on writing instruction, as I believe open ended questioning helps adolescent students develop critical thinking and extended reasoning.
