Teaching Primary for five years.
My teaching approach draws heavily on a 21st century learning perspective in which ICT and inquiry learning within authentic contexts defines content delivery. A large majority of content is delivered through a presentation type interface which may include videos, images, and interactive elements. All of this interaction draws upon Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, providing students with a breadth of ways in which information can be transferred, ensures that students’ learning strengths are nurtured. The investigative and inquiry-based model is closely united with this modern learning and best teaching practice in order for students to be actively involved in the learning, thinking and problem-solving process. I strongly believe that if students are not part of the ‘wondering’ and questioning method then authentic education cannot evolve.
