I have been blessed to be a special educator in the New York City school system. It has been a wonderful eight years. I have taught in both inclusive-co teaching classroom as well as a special education room 12:1. One year I taught general education third grade I have a duel certification. I currently have a degree in administration. It is my goal to lead a school one day and help other educators grow as well as support their hard work.
I believe in a student based classroom. Children should have full autonomy of the items in the room. I allow my students to have choice such as: writing paper, and worksheets. I believe that students learn from doing. Differentiated instruction is easily seen in my classroom. My classroom is warm and cozy... There are never any wrong answers. We cheer each other on and allow ourselves to make fixable mistakes.
