In my first incarnation, I was a middle school reading teacher. My love of books and reading naturally led me to the library. I led an elementary school library for several years, got my feet wet in a middle school library and, eventually, moved up to high school.
I think students want to feel happy and comfortable at school. I hope they know that whatever we are learning, that I am on their side. I hope I convey to my students that EVERYTHING can be looked at closely; there is always more below the surface. We don't have to know everything but all things can be known if we wish!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and a Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Library Studies. I love the Science of Reading and am in the process of getting certified right now.
I lead a large high school library in New England and live in a cozy home in Massachusetts. I love working among books each and everyday. What could be better than that?
