I have been teaching in a variety of ways since I was 16. I started out as a dance teacher and then moved on to becoming an elementary school teacher. I love working with kids whether in the classroom or the dance studio! Those AHA moments for kids are what makes all the hard work worth it.
My teaching style is fun, but fair. I think we can have fun and enjoy ourselves in the classroom, but we need to be respectful and kind to one another.
I have been named professional shoe tier three years in a row. I've got the best double knot going! I also have received several awards in pencil sharpening, lunch count taking and paper hanging.
I went to a Magnet High School where I was fortunate to have dance class everyday! I then studied Sociology and Dance at Connecticut College. After college I taught dance for a few years before I returned for a Masters in Elementary Education. I am now 8 years into teaching and I haven't looked back!
I am a mom to three little ones (5, 3, 1)! Life is busy and fun...and a bit crazy.
