It is hard to make citations engaging or exciting-- but the extra large punctuation on this sheet was a good tool. I think it helped students attend to the different types of punctuation they need to use.
Description
I wanted an easy way for students to collect information for their Works Cited page of their persuasive essay, but teaching all of the formats for all of different types was taking a lot of time! I did a quick mini-lesson on where to find the needed info in a book or on a website, and then students used these templates to independently record what they needed. This made helping small groups format their Works Cited much more manageable! After collecting this information, they will type it at the end of their essay.
*There are two versions: One for collecting information for various types of sources (website, book, survey, interview) and one for research from websites only.
* Used with 6th grade who had never written a Works Cited before
