Warm Up Template

I use this Warm Up paper to start off every math class period. There should be a problem on the board when the students walk in. The students must identify: What the PROBLEM is asking, the important INFORMATION in the problem, their PLAN to solve the problem (I require this to be a complete sentence), and then they SOLVE/CHECK the problem and make sure their answer is reasonable. This works great for word problems and really helps students understand problems and learn how to break down problems that they may initially not know how to solve. On Fridays or Assessment days, I have the students write a Reflection in complete sentences. On these days I have a question like, Today you will have a Test on Percents. What are 3 things you need to remember when working with percents?
