Description

"Wait and See" is an original piece I composed for my 7th and 8th grade guitar students. After spending half the year reading rhythmic tablature, I decided lets read some notes now. After two days into it, I saw a majority of the class struggling with notes E, F, and G, where a small minority who completely understood how to read and were already working on the B and G strings. So this piece was written to give both groups in the class something to do together! It's called "Wait and See" because I want to wait and see how they do with reading notes. Typically my middle school students would stay on rhythmic tab and then go to notation in high school, however, I decided to change it up and see how they'd do. If you're in this same situation, maybe this tune will help you. It features a few knocks for the kids to do and have fun with as well. Enjoy!
