Virtual Human Brain Dissection
- Word Document File
What educators are saying
Description
This is a virtual dissection alternative that allows students to dissect a 3D human brain, record observations, answer analysis questions on the observations and label a sheep's brain with the synonymous human brain structures. The analysis questions are mixed formats between direct questions and critical thinking concluding questions. This activity can be completed completely online or printed out for in-person instruction. It is meant to serve as an alternative method to performing a dissection. It will not use a scalpel where students can digitally cut the brain, but rather a computerized algorithm to separate whole structures of brain when needed. This activity can be done individually or with a partner. This activity is paced for two 45-minute class periods.
