What educators are saying

Great resource to reinforce the branches of our US Government. It will also be a great study guide for their test. Thank you
I absolutely loved this resource! I was looking for something different to do with the 3 branches of government. I ended up doing this whole group, but I liked that it was concise and to the point.

Description

This resource is an engaging project for teaching the branches of our government. Students can create a brochure with a cover illustrating how the three branches are rooted to the Constitution and open the fist fold to read The Preamble. Inside the brochure the students will list characteristics of each branch as a trifold. As an extension students can use the illustration to observe and sketch the buildings ( The White House, The Capitol, and The Supreme Court) where each branch is housed. Scoring rubrics are included for a project grade.

Copy the pages front to back and fold.

Use the facts on the anchor chart to teach the 3 branches of goverment and how they balance the of powers in the United States.

Project images included of The White House, The Capitol, and The Supreme Court so that students can observe and sketch the unique architecture of each building.

For the Scoring Rubric you will only need to copy half the number of students as you can cut the paper in half. An alternative rubric is also included so that you can tailor it to suit your needs for scoring.
