    Description

This resource offers so many choices for engaging your students in learning about the United States Presidents. Begin with a study on the Three Branches of the US Government and extend to a unit on the presidents. This product offers many variations based on your students interests and abilities.

Three Branches of Government Brochure Project and Scoring Rubric:

    • Engaging project for teaching the branches of our government.
    • Copy the pages front to back and fold.
    • Project images included of The White House, The Capitol, and The Supreme Court (included) so that students can observe and sketch the unique architecture of each building.
    • For the Scoring Rubric you will only need to copy half the number of students as you can cut the paper in half. An alternative rubric is also included so that you can tailor it to suit your needs for scoring.

    Hall of Fame Project:

If you are looking for a project on the USA Presidents with a variety of possibilities

and differentiated levels, look no more ... This project is so much fun and provides students with engaging research and a fun project.

    Table of Contents:

    1. Letter Home with Life Size Project Directions
    2. Letter Home without Extra Project
    3. Rubric for Presentation
    4. Open Rubric to Personalize
    5. Invitation to Event
    6. Presidential Oath
    7. Presidential Flip Book
    8. Multi Paragraph Essay with Headings
    9. Tips for Using Product
    10. End Page and Credits

Included in this project, you will find the instructions for tracing the president. We felt it was best to provide our students with a 4 foot piece of butcher-block paper and allow them to trace (since tracing requires outlining the student’s body) and decorate at home. As seen on the examples, some students used actual suits that no longer fit them! That was so neat! The reading research and writing was done during class.

If you want to hold an event for parents, you can have a wax museum format where students stand in front of their life sized projects and read their reports when someone presses a "button". This event is a lot of fun and a great way to promote parent involvement in your school.

Use the flip book format or the multi- paragraph template with headings to share interesting facts on each president.
