Third Grade Journeys Curriculum Map

This is an excellent way to plan out the year for your 3rd Grade Journeys Reading Curriculum. HMH doesn't have anything like this, and it is a nice way to look at the year and the skills and strategies that you will cover throughout the year.

In this map, I have included the names of the anchor text and supporting text as well as the target skill, target strategy, spelling, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, and names of all the leveled and supporting readers for all lessons in Units 1-5.

**This map will need to be glued or taped together. It comes an an excel document so you are free to add to or take away as needed. I only included the first 5 units and unit 6 seemed to be different than the first 5 units. When using this map, I printed it out in color, put it together and laminated it. Then I put it on my filing cabinet along with all my other reading materials, so when I found a good "non" HMH activity, I could refer back to the map, and file it as necessary, without having to refer to the teachers guide. This saved so much time!!
