Description
Thank You, Sarah: The Woman Who Saved Thanksgiving reading book companion is not your typical Pilgrims’ first Thanksgiving resource. While it does revolve around Thanksgiving history in America, it is focused on how Thanksgiving became a national holiday. For an additional UNIQUE twist, the book companion for 2nd - 4th graders also gives the history of our Thanksgiving traditions. It can be read aloud to the class, students read independently, used in literacy centers or in small groups.
It includes 52-pages of games, poetry, persuasive letter writing, graphs, timelines, opinion writing, problem and solutions, and several graphic organizers.
A week’s worth of lessons across subjects with everything you need is all in one place. Add the text from the library, and you are ready to teach.
Look at the video preview for a short excerpt from the book that tells who Sarah was.
