Description
Foldable for teaching text structures and having the students create a study guide on the organizational patterns: cause and effect, compare and contrast, problem/solution, concept/definition, chronological order, and process.
Students must identify the different types and be able to analyze signal words and text examples to match with correct text structure.
Included:
Organizational Pattern terms, definitions, and visual graphic
Signal words associated with each text structure/org. pattern
Short passage for each org. pattern with signal words in text
Identifying definitions, graphics and signal words are at Recall or Understanding levels while the analyzing of text passages is at the Analyzing or Applying levels.
End product will be student's creation of foldable to use as study guide or reference.
