Description

Delve into the dangers of drug abuse, with this screen based interactive game designed to help your students think and consider reality in our society. There are five interactive activities (30 questions) to complete. The first 2 sections revise their knowledge of the long term effects of substance abuse. The third follows watching a YouTube video about reducing HIV infections in substance abusers - encouraging insight and memory.  A “Blog post of Fetal alcohol syndrome” is used as a reading for meaning exercise. Finally students use their knowledge  to create an Instagram post to raise awareness of FAS and how it can be prevented.   All five activities must be completed to win the game. Correct answers are rewarded by a response, and unlock the next activity.

This colorful butterfly based online interactive game engages middle school students to consider Substance abuse using multiple media in a non-judgmental way. Each section  is self-correcting, ensuring that students receive immediate feedback. Independent learning creates a chance to connect with and assist individual students - enabling differentiation and dialogue!

It uses a template from the fantastic Flapjack Factory. Visit her store and try it out for yourself.
