Description
Sensory Drumming is the perfect mix of fun and function. Students will follow along with Miss Amy and Bluebird as they travel to new locations with each video. Each adventure will encourage the executive functioning skills of: focusing, planning, organizing, impulse control, working memory, metacognition as well as body awareness, rhythm, sequencing, bilateral and cross-body movements. Students will learn 3 thematic rhythm patterns and use their working memories to sequence them all together after practicing them individually, Participants can use real drums, yoga balls, desks, tables, etc. and drumsticks can be cut pool noodles, rhythm sticks, empty paper towel rolls, or anything else that you have laying around. Sensory drumming can be used independently, in small group, or in whole class settings. No music experience needed.
