Science Study SkillsDo your students know HOW to study for a science test? Many middle school students need support to develop strong study skills! This lesson includes a visual notes page that reviews how to prepare for a science test as well as 5 active study stations. This lesson is ideal a few days before a major unit test, as students can use existing notes and materials while completing the study stations.
I used to think that students in the upper grades knew how to prepare for a test. I was wrong! Sometimes, students are overwhelmed and just don’t know HOW to approach studying, especially since successful study strategies can vary slightly by subject. This lesson aims to reach those kids, as well as build in productive study time during class.
Includes:
Visual (Doodle) Notes Page (This covers some strategies and tips for productive studying.)
Teacher Key (An example of completed notes as well as a teacher key are included.)
5 Active Study Stations (Students spend about 5-10 minutes at each station where they practice a study skill mentioned in the doodle notes.)
