Purpose: Use the concepts of inertia, force, speed, acceleration, and Newton’s Laws, as well as internet research and prototype testing to design a container that will protect a raw egg from breaking.
Challenge: Design and build a container, using a budget, that will protect a raw egg from breaking when dropped from 2 meters off the ground, then 3 meters, then 4 meters, and so on. The winning team is the one that protects the egg from the highest drop using the least amount of money.
