Description
This project is intended as a culminating task for Grade 5 Social Studies - The Role of Government and Responsible Citizenship.
Students create a plan of action to address a social issue of local, provincial, or federal significance.
They will research a social issue, write a paragraph about how it is affecting individuals in Canada, design a t-shirt that someone could wear to encourage others to take action on the issue and write a reflection.
This project is perfect to go along with Pink Shirt Day (Day of Pink) or Orange Shirt Day (National Day for Truth and Reconciliation).
