Description
This BUNDLE contains FOUR independent Social Studies workbooks for Grade 5/6 students and FOUR Social Studies projects/activities.
Each workbook meets the Ontario Curriculum expectations for an ENTIRE Social Studies unit. The Grade 6 projects and workbooks are updated for the new 2023 Ontario Social Studies curriculum.
All Grade 5/6 Social Studies units are included.
Grade 5: "The Role of Government and Responsible Citizenship" and "Interactions of Indigenous Peoples and Europeans prior to 1713, in what would eventually become Canada"
Grade 6: "Communities in Canada, Past and Present" and "Canada's Interactions with the Global Community"
All workbooks together total up to 249 pages of student worksheets! Full Answer Keys are included. To support assessment practices, Ontario curriculum expectations are clearly identified on each workbook page. A quiz is included at the end of the workbooks.
Each end-of-unit project has a 3 or 4-page Lesson Plan for teacher use (with expectations, learning goal/success criteria, possible accommodations, and assessment strategies). These culminating tasks foster a deeper understanding of the content and promote critical thinking, creativity, and independent research.
* Important note: We strive to keep all resource content updated, accurate, sensitive, and in line with our goal of reconciliation through respect and recognition of Indigenous rights.
