What educators are saying

What a tremendous STEM project for my two science classes. Most of my students were really involved with their explorations and sharing them with everyone else in the class! My students thoroughly enjoyed this activity.

Description

Our Owl Pellet Printables Pack includes:

The All About Owls PowerPoint explains to students the main characteristics of owls. Use this presentation to lead your students to an owl pellet investigation lab. Show your students stunning photos of owls and explain to them important science terms: nocturnal, talons, predator, prey, food chain, and more! I am a Christian scientist, so there is one slide that refers to God creating birds on day 3 of creation. You can easily delete this text box to accommodate a secular setting. *Owl Pellet is not included. You must order your own owl pellet.

There is a set of All About Owls guided notes to accompany the Powerpoint. The guided notes are perfect for students learning to take notes or for students who keep a science notebook. These guided notes help students retain pertinent facts about owls while staying focused on the science reader. The notes follow the PowerPoint presentation along perfectly. Students are asked to fill-in-the-blanks. There is a teacher’s set of guided notes attached to be used as a teacher’s key.

The Draw & Describe worksheet set is comprised of a brainstorming sheet and several how-to draw an owl instructional sheets. This activity allows students to draw an owl using step by step instructions. Then, students can describe facts they already know about owls. The activity is an effective opening to any owl unit study.

Also included is a set of 9 owl coloring sheets that is a fun addition for students.

Among the owl pellet printables, you will find an Owl Pellet Investigation sheet which is ideal to use during your dissection of an owl pellet. Order your owl pellets here. This sheet asks your student to measure, predict, and analyze his or her findings.

Our Owl Fact Sheet is a fun doodle sheet that features common characteristics of owls.

Other owl pellet printables included: an Owl Pellet bone chart and Owl Pellet skull’s dichotomous key.

If you have questions, ask before ordering. Thanks!
