What educators are saying

This reading passages were a great resource for when I was out. Students were engaged with the reading and were also able to review for an upcoming exam over the topics covered in passage.

    Description

Use these brief illustrated non-fiction reading passages to address ELA reading standards in science and social studies classes, and to provide students with practice making inferences from reading. They are perfect for bell work or for those ‘ragged times’ when you need a quick independent activity related to a topic you are teaching. They can also easily be incorporated into low-prep lessons for substitute teachers, and can be used for “quick finishers” or as homework.

They were written for science and social studies teachers but special education teachers and reading intervention teachers as well as ELA teachers have used the passages successfully with their students. The passages are short and on topics of interest to adolescents but the questions are quite rigorous and require that students read carefully in order to be able to make good inferences.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a bundle of four individual reading and inference passage products that are each available individually. Do not purchase this bundle if you already own the four individual products!
