Great activity to support your Native American Unit!

The homes of the Eastern Woodland Indians included Wigwams (also known as birchbark houses). These dwellings were made of wooden pole frames covered with woven mats and sheets of birchbark.

This product includes 7 templates; 6 with different ‘thatch’ finishes, and 1 blank template so you can design your own ‘thatch’.

Use this activity with themes such as Thanksgiving, Pilgrims, Native Americans, Westward Expansion, Homes.

Materials needed: card stock, scissors, glue, clothes pins or paper clips (these last 2 are helpful during gluing but not required)
