Linear Motion Notes, Graphs, and Mathematics (Smart Board)

This Smart Board presentation covers linear motion as taught in a General Physics class. It has developed over 34 years of teaching physics. (It could be simplified to a lower level of physical science.) It covers the concepts of distance, displacement, speed, velocity, and acceleration. It relates linear motion to displacement (position) vs time graphs as well as velocity vs time graphs. Interpretation of these graphs as it pertains to slope, area under curve and lines formed on the graphs are explored. It includes practice questions and answers as related to graph interpretations. A brief introduction to the three basic linear motion equations i discussed.
