Life Cycle and Insects

This scientific notebook will document your students learning and understanding throughout a unit of study based on insects. The learning experiences are connected to Common Core Standards where students think critically, reason with evidence, compare and contrast, and infer to gain a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. This unit is tied closely to the investigations that are in the FOSS science systems but can be used with any insect or life cycle unit of study. Visible Thinking routines and language are present throughout the booklet and will encourage your student to think deeply and critically about the life cycle observations that they are making.
