Description
Using the provided templates, students write Matronalia cards to friends and/or family members. This ancient Roman holiday celebrated women, which makes it perfect for Women's History Month (March) and International Women's Day (March 8th).
For this activity, students are asked to incorporate at least two of the suggested Latin phrases (with English translations) in their cards. Because flowers were given during the Matronalia festival, the templates also have a space for students to draw a flower or flower crown on their card.
This is a great way to get students to be mindful while practicing with and sharing their Latin!
