Description
This product entirely in French from Chez Nathalie is a theatrical adaptation of the Ojibwe legend: La naissance du monde. Grand-Frère’s daughter, Fée Blanche, notices a mysterious light in a willow tree. When she approaches the light to examine it, she falls in a hole. Luckily, the animals below make a spongy cushion on a turtle’s shell to break her fall. To thank them, she adds certain physical features to the “cushion”, such as mountains and valleys. Petite Tortue adds other elements to create North America. There are 11 roles: 4 main roles and 7 smaller roles. There is also a page before the legend which explains native beliefs about the origin of natural phenomena and a page at the end of the product which contains a summary of two other legends on the same theme as well as additional activities.
