What educators are saying

Great resource! Many options to choose from. My students love using the different settings to creat math stories!
My students loved using these story problem mats. Story problems are challenging to teach when many students are unable to read, so having these visuals truly helps them understand the process, and helps them reset their own story problem.

How Does This Math Center Work?

Children need lots of practice telling and solving math story problems. Place these mat mats at your math center along with your favorite counters. Choose from 2 themed sets of story problem mats:

  • seasonal story mats (i.e. fall, winter, spring, summer)

Invite children to use the mats while visiting your math center or for independent practice while you are working with small groups.
