Katakana letter Tangram

Description
A fun Katakana letter tangram activity to support Katakana letter recognition. Suitable for young children and adults. Materials include Tangram katakana charts, hand size cards with individual letters and a triangular template in black and white and colour. The secret of this Tangram activity lies in these shapes triangles. The letters could not be represented well without these triangles.
With a triangle of this size, a single letter of Kanakana fits neatly into an A4 size. I use it for one of my literacy group activities with lower primary students.
This is very useful, since it is independent type of activity which allows me to have a group of speaking and reading groups.
Simply print the attached triangles on coloured paper and cut them with scissors. I use felt of different colours cut into the shape of these triangles. Then I let them make the letters on A4 size felts instead of paper. Using felt makes learning stress-free and fun because it is easy to handle.
