Description

Students will learn the difference between independent and dependent clauses in this lesson. They will identify examples of each type of clause and will review what constitutes a clause. Students will have opportunities to identify the subordinating conjunction that makes a clause dependent, and will get to compare and contrast an independent clause that turns into a dependent clause by simply adding a subordinating conjunction to the start of the original independent clause. Students will also practice sorting independent clauses from dependent clauses.
