Description
il passato prossimo || la grammatica italiana || Italian conjugation
Have you ever had students who just continually struggle with il passato prossimo? It is one of the most complicated grammatical structures for Italian language learners, especially at the novice level! It is often our first experience with a compound tense, and that is enough to really throw off our progress - not to mention how much my students struggle with confidence when learning a new and challenging grammatical structure.
After years of struggling, I have developed my own organized way of presenting all of this information to my students using a step by step approach.
This packet contains:
- general background information about this verb tense
- step by step instructions for conjugating regular verbs (with avere and with essere)
- a chart to delineate when to use which helping verb
- regular and irregular verb charts
- 6 pages of student fill-ins so that students can manipulate the information on their own and create a long-term notebook reference
