Description

When you buy this bundle for the entire 2-year IB Environmental systems and societies course, you'll get 32 topic presentations and 32 matching study guides for your students! That's 120 classroom hours of teaching and learning plus materials for ESS Internal Assessment, External Assessment, and organizing the teaching of the course! Buying this bundle of editable presentations and notes packets will save you literally hundreds of hours of work!

This bundle includes the following ESS topics:

  • Foundations of environmental systems and societies (Topic 1)
  • Ecosystems and ecology (Topic 2)
  • Biodiversity and conservation (Topic 3)
  • Water and aquatic food production systems and societies (Topic 4)
  • Soil systems and terrestrial food production systems and societies (Topic 5)
  • Atmospheric systems and societies (Topic 6)
  • Climate change and energy production (Topic 7)
  • Human systems and resource use (Topic 8)
  • Supporting documents for ESS course administration and Internal and External Assessment

My presentations are visually stimulating, designed to evoke emotion by using powerful imagery and data presentation to tell the stories behind the notes. This approach stimulates more neural connections in students' brains and contributes to deeper, longer-lasting memory. Each presentation includes sample exam-style questions (and some answers, but not all of them!) straight from the syllabus, as well as clear links to Theory of Knowledge and International-Mindedness to tie in with the broader IB Diploma Programme. The presentations align with and also extend ideas found in both the Pearson and Oxford course textbooks.

Built on the research-proven "Cornell Notes" model of structured note-taking, these study guides for the entire IBDP ESS course include all understandings, applications, and skills in every topic in the latest syllabus (released in 2017). Key words are highlighted and space is provided to add details from the class presentations included as a part of this bundle. The notes prompt students to read the course textbooks for comprehension of key words and concepts in ESS.
