Hiragana mini-quizzes in logical order
- Google Sheets™
Description
I don't teach hiragana in order because I found a lot of the characters I was teaching, they didn't end up using right away, and a lot that were used a lot didn't get introduced soon enough. So I came up with my own order ensuring the students get the most useful hiragana characters first. I made up these little mini quizzes so students can show me their proficiency at their own pace. There are multiple unique quizzes for each 11 stages. There is also a English to Japanese and Japanese to English version for each stage. I would have a 5 minute quiz time once or twice a week allowing them to challenge whichever they hadn't passed yet. I also uploaded another version that includes some kanji at each stage. The kanji is introduced based on how I introduce it in the kanji edition of "Russell Sensei's Short Stories 1". This version though is only hiragana. Currently formatted so you can print 6 quizzes on one piece of 8.5x11 paper.
