Description
This is a student centered fitness project that allows class members a chance to "be the teacher" for the class period. They are responsible for creating a fitness activity for the class and implementing it during a class period in the future (their given presentation day).
*Student can lead a game or sport that already exists (ie. Volleyball, soccer) or they can create a fun game or bring an old childhood favorite back! All that matters is that they are giving the class a fantastic workout!
Included here is:
-A project overview with guidelines and criteria for students to follow as they create their fitness project (projects might be a sport already known by all, but they are still in charge of leading, knowing rules, organizing the time, etc).
-A worksheet for students to complete as they brainstorm what they plan to do
- A rubric that will be used by the teacher when grading them on presentation day (the day students participate in their activity)
