Description

Everyone has a go-to game that fits everything-- first week of school, last week of school, any time that the students need a break or you need a break...

This is mine.

I play this game with my fourth grade and fifth grade (I've gone as far as second grade!) music students throughout the year. I usually use rhythm sticks, but sometimes use drums or body percussion (which makes it perfect for traveling or testing lessons!).

This game is about counting rhythms. Everyone play the first rhythm three times and three times only. If they play an extra beat, they take a seat (AKA, they are out).

So simple and so fun.

You can read all about it on my blog here.

Don't forget the rhythms sticks!

Includes:

  • Printable directions
  • Printable rhythm cards
  • PowerPoint to help students follow along
