This is a fun activity to get your students out and applying their knowledge to the real world. Students will explore their school or home and look for ways that they could conserve electricity, as well as ways they are already conserving electricity. Students will then answer questions based on their research. If students complete these tasks there is an extension task where they write a letter to their principal explaining how he or she could save money off of their next bill. My principals have always got a kick out of this and if you’re lucky they will write back!
