Description

Presentation and Movie Poster Project

This project has three different parts to it:

1. Creating the presentation using Canva, PowerPoint, or Prezi (whichever you or the students feel comfortable with using).

2. Creating a movie poster to match the presentation/author

3. Giving the presentation

This PDF downloadable document contains a lengthier project for students to either work on independently or with partners. Students will be asked to select a famous, well-known author (these authors are well known for all grade levels, but are more prevalent for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade). Students will then do research on their authors and the types of writings their authors created. Students will get a feel for the mood/tone of the author and create a movie poster (they will also "cast" famous actors to fit the roles of the characters in the authors' writings.

This includes rubrics and directions for all parts of the project, including the presentation, poster assignment, and giving the presentation.
