Description

I use this PowerPoint presentation to teach color theory to my KG-5th grade students. However, it could be used in middle school art classes or in an arts integration curriculum, as well. The kids really enjoyed the images and animations. It includes recognizable artwork, as well as descriptions of: the color wheel, primary colors, secondary colors, tertiary colors, earth tones, warm colors, cool colors and more. It discusses the meaning of color, the role of light in creating color and the use of color to relay messages in our artwork. The presentation has built in opportunities to expand the lesson for higher level thinking and receive student feedback, I've included my own presentation notes, discussion points and an assessment slide at the end.

*Recently revised* I am constantly working to improve my lesson plans, PowerPoints, visuals, etc. If and when I improve this or any other item I have for sale on TPT, I will always offer the updated version to the purchasers of the original at no cost.

If you ever have a concern about any of my lessons feel free to email me. I'm happy to receive any feedback. ElemArts14@yahoo.com
