Description

This engaging, no prep digital Easter Escape Room is a fun way for students to sharpen their problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning, math, & literacy skills while helping the Easter Bunny find his lost Easter eggs.

This self-guided and self-checking escape room leads students through a fun learning adventure where they must solve challenging riddles and puzzles in order to save Easter.

Students must figure out which clues to use to open each lock, solve the puzzles for each lock to figure out the combinations, and ultimately solve a logical thinking riddle to locate the missing eggs.

Audio files on each card lead students through the escape/breakout activity. Young students can complete it independently, with a family member, with fellow students, or together on Zoom meeting.

Students encounter the following types of puzzles that review math and literacy skills (please see the preview file for examples of each to see if they are a good fit for your students):

Match the clues (visual discrimination, matching, logical thinking)

Sudoku Puzzle (problem-solving, visual discrimination, logical thinking)

Letter Elimination Puzzle (phonics, letter recognition, reading, blending)

Maze (rhyming, problem-solving)

Puzzle (counting by 5s, counting, number recognition)

Arithmagon Puzzle (addition, problem-solving, critical thinking)

Logic Riddle/Puzzle (logical thinking, problem-solving)

This Easter Escape Breakout Activity can be used as a distance learning activity, a fun family at-home activity, or an engaging school activity to keep students interested in learning the days before or after Easter.

What are Boom Cards?

Boom Cards are interactive, self-checking digital task cards that require NO PREP (no printing, cutting, or laminating required)!

They offer an easy way for teachers to assess important skills and a fun way for students to practice these skills.

They are perfect for whole group instruction on an interactive whiteboard or small group instruction, center activities, individual practice on an iPad, laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone.

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires.

For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). For assignment options that report student progress back to you, you will need to purchase a subscription.

If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial. Read here for details: http://bit.ly/BoomTrial.

If you do not subscribe at the end of your trial, you will be able to continue using Boom Cards with the Fast Play feature. Fast Play does not track individual progress.

Not sure if your browser is modern enough? Try a free Boom Cards deck first.

Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
