What educators are saying

This was a great way to start the school year. I did have some issues with the videos working on the student copies, but it may have been due to our network settings. We just watched embedded videos together as a class.

Description

"What is an Acceptable Use Policy?" is part of a new series of activities , designed to meet the needs of classroom teachers, technology specials teachers, and coaches who are charged with teaching foundational technology skills that students are expected to use in upper elementary and middle school. This module can set up as part of a center rotation in your classroom, combine the modules for longer lessons, or assign it to early finishers.

Instructional technology not your specialty? Engaging interactive slides and videos will increase your students' understanding and technology skills, allowing them to create products that demonstrate learning in every subject area.

"What is an Acceptable Use Policy?" is presented in 2 modules, which include:

Module 1

⭐Slide 1: Introduction

⭐Slide 2: Definition and explanation of an AUP

⭐Slide 3: "What is an Acceptable Use Policy?' video

⭐Slide 4: "Sort and Show" Sorting Activity directions of AUP statements

⭐Slide 5: Sorting Activity

Module 2

⭐Slide 1: Introduction

⭐Slide 2: "How Does Your Acceptable Use Policy Apply to You?" Video

⭐Slides 4 through 8: "What Would You Do?" Writing Activity with 10 Scenarios to respond to

⭐Slide 9: "What’s the Message?" Word Maze directions

⭐Slide 10: "What’s the Message?" Word Maze

"What is an Acceptable Use Policy?" will help students understand the importance of being a good digital citizen at school, as well as understanding the consequences if they violate their school's Acceptable Use Policy. It supports instruction in both Common Core Writing Standards as well as ISTE Standards. It is easily adaptable for students who may work at a slower pace or need extra support by deleting slides for an abbreviated version. An answer key is provided to help you evaluate your students' work.

Due to the Terms of Use of the font/clip artists and stock photo websites that I have purchased from, this product is not editable. Thank you for understanding.
