What is the "Beat the SHARK" NO PREP Spelling Activity?
Beat the Shark is a daily spelling work routine led on your Smartboard, ViewSonic, etc. Open the Powerpoint file (recommended) OR Google Slides Presentation, give your students the "Beat the Shark" printable writing paper, and dictate each of your spelling words as the game progresses.
The on-screen shark is racing your students. It wants to get to its bottle faster than your students can write their spelling words! Students love the race-like environment created by the quick shark, sounds, visuals, and timers.
