What is the "Beat the _____" NO PREP Spelling Activity?
Beat the Baby is a daily spelling work routine led on your Smartboard, ViewSonic, etc. Open the Powerpoint file (recommended) OR Google Slides Presentation, give your students the "Beat the Baby" printable writing paper, and dictate each of your spelling words as the game progresses.
The on-screen character (baby, santa, granny, pirate, etc.) is racing your students. It wants to get to its goal faster than your students can write their spelling words! Students love the race-like environment created by the quickly moving character, sounds, visuals, and timers which were all designed to keep your students hyper-engaged.

There are two options for the "Beat the ____" Writing Pages:
✅ Option 1 has an entire week (5 Days) of writing space so students can re-use the same page throughout the week.
✅ Option 2 is cut-apart pages so students have one small sheet per day to write their spelling words.
