Description

Goal-setting and student-centered feedback is key to student growth and confidence in a Creative Writing course, but keeping track of and referring back to individualized student goals can be overwhelming with large numbers of students.

This "Writing Goals Tracker" teacher tool is perfect for any Creative Writing teacher looking to keep an organized record of their students' personal writing goals and to track progress towards those goals; this resource can be duplicated as many times as needed for additional sections of a course. The included resource will also provide support during student-centered and positive writing conferences and will help writing teachers as they discuss student progress with parents and guardians. This resource is a Google Doc that is fully customizable. The "Writing Goals Tracker" tool features the following:

  • Individualized writing goal(s) recordkeeping for 32 individual writers
  • A summary section to plan targeted follow-up with struggling students
  • The ability to customize elements in Google Docs
  • The ability to print as many copies as needed throughout the school year
  • Formatting that allows you to hole punch for three-ring binders, disc-bound planners, or even more elaborate spiral-binding

These resources can be adapted for application outside the Creative Writing classroom as well.

This item is a customizable Google Doc, which will allow teachers to modify and utilize content as needed for their students and their writing unit goals.
