Creating a Pizzeria: Developing My Own Business!

I developed this activity originally for my Career Internship Students to better help them for the workforce, although the activity will easily work with elementary -to- high school students. Students create their own pizzeria restaurant, complete with the restaurant's name, logo, specialty pizza, rating scale, and more! Students also compete market research of competing pizzerias for pricing purposes!

I found having students first reflect on their own experiences eating out helped. What pizzerias do they and their family enjoy most? (And the least!) Why? This will help students as they work to design their business. Having teaching assistants participate is an added fun bonus! My goal is to better prepare students and their team for learning, as well as build confidence as they strive for success.
