Description

This Counting and Cardinality Assessment pack was created to help the Kentucky Kindergarten teacher with tracking student data, assessments, and standard based rubrics using KENTUCKY ACADEMIC STANDARDS.

In this pack you will find formative assessments for each Counting and Cardinality standard. You will also find data tracking sheets and rubrics, as well as a benchmark assessment. Each of the included pieces in this unit lists the standard that is being covered. This will help the teacher stay on track with each student’s progress.

This standards included are:

KY.K.CC.1 a. Count to 100 by ones and by tens

KY.K.CC.1b: Count backwards from 30 by ones

KY.K.CC.2 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence within 100

KY.K.CC.3a. Write numbers from 0 to 20

KY.K.CC.3b. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20

KY.K.CC.4 Counting objects with 1:1 correspondence

KY.K.CC.5a Count to answer “how many?” with organized arrangement.

KY.K.CC.5b Count to answer “how many?” questions with scattered arrangement KY.K.CC.6 Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, and equal to

KY.K.CC.7 Compare two numbers between 1 and 10 presented as written numerals

There is no need to reinvent the wheel due to new Kentucky standards. This pack includes all that you will need to assess your students and track their progress. It is easy to follow as everything is labeled with the standard that is being assessed.

Standards

Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
