What educators are saying

We used this for our class chapel. My fifth graders thought it was hilarious. It was easy to break up some of the speaking parts as well to have more students talking. Thank you!

Description

This humorous skit was written for a school chapel service and performed by 6th graders but could be easily accommodated to go as low as 3rd grade. The text for the skit is Ephesians 3:18-19a, "May you have the power to understand ...... how long and high and wide and deep is God's love for us." The skit is a mock game show in which contestants compete to answer the question, "What's bigger" regarding a variety of items. It culminates in the realization by the contestants that God's love is bigger than everything. PowerPoint included.

The script, as written, has parts for 1 game show host, 1 co-host, 4 contestants, and 6 narrators. Of course, parts can be divided if you have more students or combined for fewer 'actors.' While I always expect the students to participate in the chapel service, some are TERRIFIED to speak in front of others, so I gave those kids other duties, such as taking the offering or working the power point. The performance took approximately 15 minutes.
