Description

This Made-for-Easel Activity focuses on the capitalizing languages and groups (including religions, races, and nationalities). After a brief introduction, third, fourth, or fifth grade students complete a series of interactive practice activities with thumbs-up/thumbs-down, sorting, and highlighting.

Note: This resource is 100% digital, and students need gmail accounts to access it. No print materials are included. Watch the video preview to get a better look.

What’s Included:

  • teacher directions and an answer key (remove before assigning)
  • directions for using tools
  • brief direct instruction
  • five terms for which students give thumbs-up (capitalized correctly) or thumbs down (not capitalized correctly), as well as answers for checking
  • a right/wrong sorting activity
  • an activity for which they must highlight words in sentences that should be capitalized

Oral directions are also provided. Kids just push the sound icon.
